V previous article I highlighted two issues that formed the basis of my treatment. The first was what health is, and the second was how disease or change in body tissue occurs.

The first answer revealed to me a deeper insight into the situation I was in. The second, which we will look at in this article, defined processes or helped me to choose techniques and protocols.

Answer to the second question: how does the change in tissue occur?

I wanted to find out what all leads to disease. Not in the sense of looking for risk factors, but I was interested in the big picture. I did not want to get caught in a loop where I just looked at diet, pesticides, toxic household chemicals and things like that. If even official science concludes that ninety percent or more of illness is of psychological origin, it only makes sense to take account of such influences as well.

I was very careful not to get caught up in the statistics. Because even if a disease is influenced by a certain factor in the ninety per cent, that figure does not guarantee that I am in that group. The other thing is that many people confuse cause with effect. Therefore, several apparently unrelated factors – which are in fact only triggers or triggers of a reaction – can have the same cause. The reverse is also true: if a change in health status occurs in a similar way in a large number of people, it does not necessarily mean that it is the same cause.

I was thinking pragmatically. I started from the fact that body tissue can be influenced from different levels. If I make sure that I am functioning optimally at all levels, I will stop wondering whether I am dealing with cause, effect or cause-effect.

Five levels

The levels through which change in body tissue can occur could be divided as follows:

First level: physical (physical processes)

This includes tissues and everything we can see with the eye. At this level , we act physically: by applying pressure, by massage, by physically limiting the spread of the disorder, and so on. For example, when we cut our finger, we clean the wound, disinfect it and bandage it.

This level is characterised by its parts being clearly separated from each other. Bone is completely separate from muscle, for example, and each part functions as an independent unit.

It is also typical to clearly see the causative organism and the change in tissue shape. If we accidentally hit our finger with a hammer, we know the causative agent (the hammer) and the physical tissue change (the swollen pst).

Another characteristic of this level is that change is instantaneous.

Second level: cellular (chemical processes)

This is where bio-chemical processes take place, which can be influenced by chemical preparations, dietary supplements, detoxification, dietary choices and so on.

This level is also still physical, but the particles are already inextricably linked and interacting with each other.

We are still in the material world, so we can clearly see the agent (which, unlike the first level, does not act directly on the change in physical form, but through its influence on chemical processes) and also the end result or change in the tissue.

The difference with the first level is this: there, we worked externally on the diseased area. At the second level, we are working from the inside, and the effect spreads “from small to large” , or from molecule to cell and then to tissue.

Third level: atomic (electro-magnetic processes)

At this level, the bio-electric process of electromagnetic waves takes place, and we can influence it: with electrical devices, with pulsating electro-magnetic fields, with sound, with radiation… In short, with anything that emits electromagnetic waves.

Here we move to the energetic level. This is characterised by acting on the tissue with a “visible” or perceptible, or even physical, substance, and the effect is energetic.

In principle, we can measure processes at this level.

4th level: quantum (energy processes that can be influenced/selected)

The quantum processes that take place at this level can be influenced by very sensitive energies. For example, human consciousness. They are expressed as a thought (mental energy form) or as a feeling or emotion (emotional energy form).

Here, the particles “overlap”, or change space and shape, meaning that their communication and connection is even greater and stronger. They may be solid matter some of the time and energy some of the time.

So at this level we are no longer working with something that can be seen or measured, and the effect is purely energetic.

Fifth level: spiritual (energetic processes above the level of the will)

The fifth level is also in the domain of energy. Here we find higher intelligence guiding processes (for example, regulating bodily functions), karmic codes, collective memory. This level is also referred to by the terms “Field”, “Divine Matrix”, ether, akasha and so on. These are things that are not a matter of conscious individual choice, or that we cannot simply choose, as we can, for example, choose thoughts on the previous level.

This level is characterised by being completely coherent and unchanging – there is only one, common to all, and it is present always and everywhere.

Link between levels

If we look at the development of bodily processes, we will see that usually only the first, physical level is more or less predictable. So it is only at the physical level that it is clear what is acting on the body and what the effects will be. And even here the matter can get complicated when personal beliefs are involved. For example, it is difficult to explain walking on hot coals or the ability of a mother who moves a car weighing over a tonne to rescue her child from underneath it.

The higher up the levels we go, the greater the impact of energy. At the second, third and fourth levels, our beliefs, attitudes, decisions… This is demonstrated by the placebo effect and also by the different perceptions people have of energy influences; for example, some people are highly perceptive of earth radiations or electro-magnetic radiation from electrical devices, while others are much less so.

It is not just a matter of “resistance to the elements” or “a good immune system”, but also, to a large extent, of beliefs. The cell biologist Dr Bruce Lipton, in his book “The Biology of Belief”, gave the example of a fundamentalist Christian sect whose most committed members willingly drink strychnine in lethal quantities as proof that God protects them. Not only do they survive, but the poison has no effect on their health.

Above all, there is always the fifth level.

Interweaving levels or how information spreads

The levels are so intertwined that sometimes we don’t even know which level the primary information or energy is coming from.

In fact, we can never talk about the action of a single level on a tissue, as it is always a combination of several levels. There is a fifth level at work all the time and – at least on an unconscious level – a fourth level, i.e. our view of the situation and the beliefs associated with it.

Therefore, even when a surgeon operates on a tissue, the process is not only on the physical level, but three levels are involved in the healing process:

  • physical intervention on tissue (level 1),
  • our opinions, views, beliefs … or thoughts and feelings (level 4). Example: placebo surgeries have been known where the patient was just cut into the body and stitched back up, and the patient experienced exactly the same healing effects as those who were actually operated on*;
  • the intelligence of the body that heals wounds (fifth level).

Of course, thoughts and emotions can also be destructive or inhibit the healing process. Jesus’ attempt to heal in his home village is a case in point. Everywhere else he had excellent results, but at home he could not heal anyone – because people knew him only as the carpenter’s son and did not believe in his healing abilities.

All of this suggests that change in the cell takes place in a chain reaction. From one level, the effect is transmitted to the next, and may ultimately manifest itself in altered cell function or tissue change.

We also know that energy spreads in both directions, from the first upwards and vice versa. For example, if we feel a clot on our body, we may become afraid. By doing this through the first level, we activate the higher levels, which then influence back. Or, through a specific belief (the fourth level), they cause a change in chemical reactions and, consequently, a change in the physical tissue.

Key findings

When I investigated and convinced myself of the interdependence of the levels, it became clear to me that the trebaverigoof energy expansion has tobe broken somewhere. The best tool for this step is a firm belief.

A solution needs to be found so that belief in this technique will allow a healing bio-electro-chemical reaction.

The formula for deciding which level to operate at is simple: let’s operate from the level we believe in the most. For example, if we need proof or a tangible and immediate result, we choose level 1, 2 or possibly 3.

Let us never forget that the key is the fourth level.Trust or faith – or distrust and doubt – are the energies of the fourth level. It is often this energy that tips the balance.

But we will be most effective if we work synergistically or combine all levels.

So did I. I needed some proof that things were starting to change. So I chose detoxification of the body and a special diet based on cellular nourishment as the basic therapy. (The theory behind this therapy – called Gerson therapy – is that the key causes of disease are intoxication of the body, or the inability to detoxify, and cellular malnutrition. When we allow the body to do these two things, healing processes begin to take place. This made sense to me.)

The protocol chosen was, among other things – or above all – food for the intellect. Because I was doing “something concrete” and different from what I had been doing, my mind could more easily accept the fact that things were starting to move for the better. Given that this technique also had excellent references, or a large number of cures of patients with the same diagnosis as mine, it was even easier for me to believe that I was doing something useful.

My constant task was to keep positive thoughts and feelings and to clearly express a strong will to live.

When I decided to use this technique, I immediately stopped looking for other solutions. All I wanted to read about or think about was just confirmation that I was on the right track.

What – and how much – do we believe?

Whichever technique we choose, we will not be able to avoid working on the fourth level (thoughts and emotions).

This is not just my opinion, but a scientifically proven fact.

One of the most unequivocal pieces of evidence comes from world-renowned researcher Lothar Hirneise, President of the German association “People Against Cancer” and Director of the “3E Cancer Treatment Centre”. He studied cases of cancer patients who survived. He was interested in what they had changed about themselves, or which factor had influenced their recovery. He systematically divided these factors into three groups:

  1. Detoxification: around 60% of people who recovered were actively detoxifying their bodies during the treatment phase.
  2. Change in dietary habits: about 80% of survivors have changed their dietary habits.
  3. Energy effect or awareness: 100% of those who were healed changed their lifestyle habits.

It’s not about statistics on what someone has been greeted with.

It is not even (so much) about the technique or the ways in which the protocols were implemented by the individual. It is about faith in statistics, faith in technique and faith in the implementation of the protocol.

Or, in short, it’s about faith.

*Dr. Bruce Lipton in his book “The Biology of Belief” gives the example of Dr. Moseley who operated on arthritic knees. He divided his patients into three groups. The first two he operated on, and the third he performed a placebo operation: under anaesthesia, he made three standard incisions, after which the patient acted and talked as if he were actually operating, but did nothing. After forty minutes, he stitched the wound. The improvement of the patients in this group was the same as in the first two groups. “My skills did not bring any beneficial effects to these patients. The whole beneficial effect of surgery for osteoarthritis of the knee was a placebo effect” (Lipton, “The Biology of Belief”, p. 111).
